Boyle Co.: The Kings Mill Bridge once crossed the Dix River. It was built by Lewis Wernwag. It was once thought it was on the bottom of Lake Herrington due to the creation of the Dix Dam; however the bridge was indeed demolished before the completion of the dam and the subsequent flooding of the area.
